Folding Process for Folded Business Cards
We cannot fold business cards the same method we use to score and fold standard larger sized products due to the limited size of the final product. Therefore we have to use a process called die-scoring in which we use a steel die to place a score into the product allowing it to fold. For thick card stock products, scoring is a necessity so the paper will fold correctly and will not "bubble" on the fold line. If you take a piece of card board and attempt to fold it you cannot get an exact straight fold. If you take a razor blade and cut a thin slice into the card board then it will fold perfectly along that line. That process in the printing industry is known as scoring.
Orders that require extra finishing take longer to produce. Please allow an additonal 3-5 business days for die-scoring and folding of business card products.
